April 28th Track meet RESCHEDULED to May 6th

Track Families,
Due to conflicts beyond our control we have to reschedule today's track meet for NEXT WEDS May 6th at 5 pm vs Wolfe MS (at Lamphere HS).

Repeat- there will be NO TRACK MEET TODAY (TUES April 28th), and NO PRACTICE either. Rest up and resume as normal, tomorrow.

Track Practice MON April 20

Dear Panthers and Families,

Thank you for the effort and focus shown during the first round of tryouts on Friday. We are now moving into the final phase of evaluations.

To properly finish the process, we will hold a private final tryout session MONDAY April 20th at the high school from 4:45 PM – 6:00 PM (athletes should plan to arrive early to stretch and be ready to go). There will be NO BUS, so athletes coming would need to arrange a ride there. To reiterate, Monday's practice will be at the High School at the time above!

If you are not on this list, there is no practice for you/you do NOT need to come to the High School.

This is the final step in the selection process. Athletes should come prepared to compete, give full effort, and represent themselves well. Every rep will matter.

We appreciate your flexibility as we work to build a strong, competitive team while giving each athlete a fair opportunity.

Lastly, distance athletes are expected to complete a 2-mile run on their own to make up for the missed practice and maintain conditioning.

NO Track Practice FRI April 10th

A reminder to Page Track Athletes- there will be NO PRACTICE tomorrow, Friday April 10th

Practices will resume next week, with MON - THURS at Page MS after school from 3:15 - 5 pm, and FRI at Lamphere High School from 4:30 - 6 pm. There will be a ONE-WAY bus leaving Page on FRIDAYS taking Track athletes to the High School on those Friday Track Practices.

Attention Track athletes and families:

 

The Page track team will be practicing from 4:30 - 6 pm at Lamphere High School every Friday starting Friday April 17th.

 
There will be a ONE-WAY bus on Fridays to take athletes from Page MS to Lamphere High School. The bus will leave Page at 4:00 pm.
 
Any student that wishes to stay at Page for the bus, will need to go directly to the auditorium after school, and wait there until their coach arrives.

1. Give 100% Effort — Every Practice, Every Meet

  • Show up ready to work.
  • Push yourself in every rep, sprint, jump, or throw — even when it gets tough.
  • Effort matters more than talent — bring your best every day.

 

2. Show Up On Time and Be Prepared

  • Arrive when you’re supposed to, not when you feel like it.
  • Have your gear, water, spikes/running shoes, and mindset ready.
  • Communicate with coaches if you’re sick or unable to attend.

 

3. Safety & Proper Equipment Handling

  • Safety is a top priority at all times.
  • Use all equipment (batons, hurdles, throwing implements, etc.) only as instructed.
  • Never play around with or misuse equipment.
  • Be aware of your surroundings — especially during throwing and running events.
  • Follow all safety directions from coaches without hesitation.
  • Report any unsafe behavior or injuries immediately.

 

4. Encourage Others — Lift Your Team Up

  • Support your teammates during workouts, events, and meets.
  • Cheer for runners, jumpers, and throwers — everyone matters.
  • Celebrate successes and help teammates through tough performances.
  • Be the positive energy you want around you.

 

5. Encourage Yourself — Build Mental Strength

  • Believe you can improve — times drop and distances increase with effort.
  • Stay positive, even when you’re tired or not hitting your goals yet.
  • Learn from mistakes and bounce back stronger.

 

6. Give Respect to Everyone

  • Respect your coaches by listening, following directions, and trusting the process.
  • Respect your teammates by working hard and staying focused.
  • Respect competitors — they’re pushing themselves just like you.

Track Team Policies

  • Being at practice matters — it’s how you improve and how we build a strong team.

 

  • Athletes are expected to attend all practices and meets unless excused.

 

  • If you miss practice the day before a meet, you may not compete in that meet. Readiness and preparation are earned.

 

  • All absences should be communicated with a coach before practice whenever possible.

 

  • Absences not excused by a doctor’s note or prior communication will be taken into consideration when making meet lineups and roster decisions.

 

 

Team Support at Meets:

  • Track is a team sport — even when your events are finished, your role is not.

 

  • Athletes are expected to stay at meets and support their teammates whenever possible.

 

  • Late events deserve the same energy and support as early events.

 

  • Athletes should remain available in case they are needed for last-minute lineup changes or substitutions.

 

  • Support your team in a positive way — do not interfere with coaches or meet operations.

 

  • Showing up, staying engaged, and supporting your team earns trust and opportunities to compete.
