Page Panthers Dominate Chatterton Middle School in 24-0 Victory

The Page Panthers football team traveled to Warren Fitzgerald High School to face off against Chatterton Middle School in cold and rainy conditions, emerging victorious with a 24-0 win.

This win improves the Panthers’ record to 2-0, with a solid performance led by game captains Lorenzo Estralldo, Brock Dively, Adrien Felton, and Roman Godboldo.

The Panthers struck first with a pivotal 4th down conversion. Quarterback Cadence Cade connected with Brycen Potter on a 25-yard fade to the back corner of the end zone for a touchdown. Adrien Felton powered in the two-point conversion, supported by a strong offensive line featuring Michael Farmer, Anthony Strunk, Jonah Riddle (center), Brock Dively, and Cooper Bradley.
Jahir Edwards scored the second touchdown of the game with an impressive 30-yard run, followed by another two-point conversion from Adrien Felton.

In the late stages of the game, Jahir Edwards sealed the victory with a spectacular 70-yard jet sweep touchdown after receiving a handoff from quarterback Cadence Cade. Maykil Najeeb capped off the scoring by converting the final two-point attempt, marking his first points of the season.

The Panthers’ defense was relentless, playing tough, physical football and forcing six fumbles, recovering two. Brycen Potter and Maykil Najeeb both secured crucial recoveries.

One of the game’s standout moments came from defensive tackle Joseph McColor, who chased down a Chatterton running back and made a crucial tackle 60 yards down the field, turning the tide of the game.

For the second consecutive game, the Panthers’ defense recorded a shutout, with outside linebackers Joshua Cornwell and Parker Honkanen effectively containing the Chatterton running backs, allowing the defense to make key plays throughout the game.

The Panthers’ next challenge will be against Clintondale Middle School on Tuesday, October 8th at 4:30 p.m., at Clintondale High School.

The Panthers would also like to extend a special thanks to all the fans, parents, and the amazing Panther Cheerleaders for braving the elements and cheering on the team.
